Him (Dythargor) and the art of life cycle maintenance

Late last night, I wanted to put in something about the philoshophy in life, Which as it happens is not mine but one which i like but havent yet put into practice and i have my own doubts whether i will ever do it....

But before putting it down, i was greeted by a friendly Win XP balloon tip, which said:

And it remained in that state for over 30 minutes, a period after which sleep was begining to overtake me.

Now, You can find his Philo in Life here.

The philo is the description of the blog, it is rather long for a description, but then it makes for an interesting read, Much better than what he writes in the blog. (No offence Dythargor)

And here comes the nice part, He actually tries to follow it. Whether he succeeds or not, I will let it remain a mystery, but all in all, i find it a nice way....

Answers, Changes, Films and Tickets In alphabetical order.

Vardan has asked me why i considered him a techie, I havent answered him, partially because i was lazy, and partially because i was even more lazy.

So, here is why, When i saw the blog, (the link to which can be found at many places in the page), the first thing i noticed that the title of the blog was linked, and i heard somewhere that this was the first step to SEO as they call it. The Description of the blog was neatly arranged like a navigation menu and there was a Tag Board... and a lot of other things like talking about 2300 RPM and having a HOT or NOT thing on which i havent voted it, for the same reasons stated above.

Now to the changes, I guess you can see them on the right, so no point wasting the precious flexing of fingers and thought process to write about it.

Coming to films and tickets, we are finally going to watch "The Day after tomorrow" today.

PS. Vardan profile is the 6th hit on google for the query "vardan Blog"

Not to self and everyone else Try to google "Teju's Blog"

About Invites and Gmail.

When I signed up for GMail. I got two invites too. I send them to two people, and both of them are using it like crazy, Unlike my pal Chirayu who is sad that one of his invite went unutilized...

But then, things like that happen. As for more invites, this is an excerpt from a reply from the Gmail team.

Also, because Gmail is in a limited test period, we occasionally
issue a small number of new user invitations to a randomly selected group of Gmail users. The Gmail team is gathering feedback and suggestions from our current users, and as we make progress with our service, we issue more invitations. We are unable to offer more invitations at this time. Thank you for your patience while we work to make Gmail generally available.

And yes, though i would like GMail to be generally available.. but then what will differentiate the older users from all the general population?

Well, i guess, we, as always, will find our own ways....

Finally, a chance to Rant again

I have been reading and reading, stuff that's been interesting, boring and downright ridiculous. I rant about most of the things i read, not because i love to talk, but out of a hope that i might encounter another soul who loves reading....

Of late, a few people have been asking me what i have been reading, what i would like to read and what i had already read and liked.

Ranting about the last category, I must say, i read all genre off books without any prejudice towards any genre and i happen to like a lot of books ...

But then one book that i constantly think about is a book by Douglas Adams called The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"

In this book, there is a point where mice, at the point of time when the book was written, rule the world, search for The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.

This book though takes a dig at a lot of things, does provide an insight into the world of men and women as Doug sees it. It is a pity for such a man to be taken away at so young an age...

The Book has been the foundation for internet as we know it, much before itstarted operating this way... apart from its other credits like the words Trillian and Babel Fish.

For me Doug is immortal. He is the Legend that the stuff is made of.

No. I didn't it wrong.

Thanks Doug.

Who killed Roger Rabbit?

No. Not Me. Again, this is not about a comic bunny being killed, this is about the comments section on my blog. There are a few comments which read " This post has been removed by the author.".

I swear on the Holy Bible, Quran, Bhagawadgita and any other sacred work you would want me to, and in any order of your preference that I have got nothing whatsover to do with the removing the comments other than looking at them and wonder.

I repeat, I havent done it and nor will i ever. So if anyone has any idea as to how to correct this problem, please tell me or if you see your comment deleted, do me a favour and please do post it again.

So, Who killed the Rabbit?

Stratospheric Depths....

A couple of my friends have asked me why i have not been posting anything lately. The casual question makes me feel good, makes me want to write something, but what to write when there is nothing to write?

I realised that the answer is in the question itself, if not anything, there is always nothing to write about. Looking at the things around me (read blogs), it seems like a tidal wave of writers block has affected people all around the blogging world..

There have not been any interesting post or worse no posts at all in the blogs that i read regularly... same being the case with yours truly...

Today, i finally find something interesting in Mich's page while Lunatech's page yielded in an even more interesting message that reads something like this:

Warning: mysql_numrows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/home/journalspace/public_html/blog.php on line 841

Couldnt make head or tail of it, but i guess he will find it to be an interesting development nevertheless.

No haiku, No anything, Just plain nothing.

Remembering a conversation i had with a friend of mine on the phone, there was a word "stratospheric" i was wondering if it was heights or depths...

A Long one, but not my own

As i was leafing through old journals i came across a nice piece, it instantly reminded me of people i liked, so here it is..

It is the shy, the really shy ones, who have my admiration. They do not impose force on others: when they speak it is generally because they have something important to say, they listen to our stories right up to the limit of their patience, and they are the shoulder on which we most want to cry. Normally, they are much wiser because they spend more time looking at what is going on around them - and they manage to do so without anyone noticing. But, above all, they have a smile that extroverts generally don't have. It is not common and, because of this, is more amusing - it begins at a corner of the mouth and then becomes a smile only a little bit at a time.

A big victory is when we manage to stop them from being timid for a short period of time, or when they cease to be shy with us - it does not count if your furnish them with drinks to get them to lose their inhibitions. In order to be special it is necessary that a shy person feels so secure that he reveals his true self and makes those cynical comments about himself with the confidence of someone who has rehearsed the words before he says them.

The shy are excused from bringing flowers or presents on St. Valentine's Day. It is enough for them to show up.

I had seen the smile, and tasted the big victory once. But then it was sometime back, now it has ceased to exist.

Gawk!!

A pseudo haiku suddenly struck me:

sitting and leaving is vacate,
Shitting and leaving is defecate.

No curses in the comments section please...

This is dedicated to my friend Sunil, without whom, The place i worked would have been soul less

Oh No!

Yeah. Okay. Ho-Hum. Yawn. But I Stopped.

Q: Stopped what?
A: Cribbing.

If Ma nature gave it to us, we'd rather live with it. I am talking about complications here. C-O-M-P-L-I-C-A-T-I-O-N-S.

We are all born with strings attached, so no point wanting anything with none attached.

Everything has a string attached, it depends on how we get rid of it, but the mark always stays.

Suggestion:
Ask the bollywood directors on how to make the mark a sex symbol.

... of books, novels and obscure authors

A couple of days ago, I finished reading a novel called "The Evening Class" By Maeve Binchy. Nice Book. It is like sitting thru a feel good movie all the way.

I was wondering when was the last time that you actually picked up a novel of a not so mainstream author?

But before that, Do you read at all ?

It has been raining all evening. The weather was pleasant, But the air inside the house was stiflingly humid. The moisture hung in the air like a thick curtain in a musty room. The air was stagnant.

There was not even the slightest of breezes, not a leaf ruffled. The rain itself was constant, falling with a constant tattoo, no trace of wind, the drops of water hitting the ground right underneath their poit of origin. It was as if, nature was in a pensive mood, taking time out from it constant monitoring of the earth.

It on days like these, that the mind suddenly goes into a another sphere, a different plane. All the things are viewed from above, nothing really affecting you, the whole world become just another canvas, where life is going on in a slow motion blur. There is no sound, just vivid images, flashing across the canvas, and then slowing down, letting you notice every moment, every expression.

Some days just pass, in this trance like state, the breaking of this nature induced stupor will take you to extremes of moods - ecstacy, melancholy, helplessness or a myriad of other moods, the boundaries of which often become blurred, in the extremes.

Crest. Trough. Crest. Trough. Crest. Trough. crest. Tidal wave.

No warning. It just Hits.

Convention is the mother of necessity

Listening to people asking people to think out of the box, is driving me nuts these days. Doesnt normalcy have any say these days?

Makerting textbooks do it, personality developers do it, self help books do it, it is the pseudo marketing gurus fave phrase, advertising arena screams about in the ears of everyone who has any.

Anyone wondered what will happen to the box, if everyone starts thinking out of it? And if the box disappears, what can we think out of then?

What is your take?

..and it happened yet again"

The people of India, were called, to choose their fate, and when it counted, the nation rose to the call, and took charge.

The world's largest democracy, has chosen, a woman, who was cornered, humiliated and attacked personally, to be their leader. Two thirds of our one billion brothers and sisters, made the choice, yet again proving that, democracy still lives, and secularism will still rule atleast in their hearts...

The people of India, have given conclusive proof of their tolerance, and proclaimed emphatically to the world that, belonging to a clan is not a matter of where you are born, bur where your heart lies...

75% of my brothers and sisters agree to it, and i wouldnt want to say no...

For me, this is India Smiling

I guess we have started counting on each other for tolerating bad-hair days, a good sign..

Reflection. Memories. Remembrances

Who ever that said time heals, definitely had it wrong.

Over time, memories are sharpened, because they are searched mercilessly, compulsively.. The mind itself doing it, to find a glimmer of hope where there is none, to find comfort in things that aren't to be...

Faces with eyes, bodies, emotions keep flashing across the inner screen incessantly..

The sights, the sounds - touching and the desire to touch.

Nothing is too inconsequential to peel away and wither...

It just goes on...
